When it comes to moulds and moulding techniques, our R&D department is always looking for offering to our customers state-of-the-art technology.
In 1995 we produced our first two-component injection moulds for cutlery and flatware for the company Fratelli Guzzini.
Since then, we specialise in many two-component injection technologies:
-index plate
-vertical and horizontal rotary table
-transfer
-mould movements
We produced two-component moulds for electro-medical equipment, components for cars, seats, with many different surface effects, such as soft-touch, transparent effects and so on.
In 1994 we produced the first gas-assisted injection mould: a food trolley for the company Fratelli Guzzini.
This experience allowed us to produce many other items in different fields, such as car door handles and household appliances handles, platforms for catwalks and so on.
A special project regarded the production of a transparent single-piece chair made of polycarbonate through the gas-assisted injection moulding process.
Thanks to these technologies, mainly used in the automotive industry, we can obtain excellent performances when it comes to the following aspects:
- the press clamping force is reduced up to 65%. We can then mold items on injection machines with a clamping force which is equal to 1/3 of a standard injection machine. Our production costs are therefore extremely competitive;
- the tensional state of the pieces is reduced and therefore the deformations of the item are dramatically reduced; in this way the mechanical performances of the item are highly improved.
We have a remarkable experience with both technologies and we are equipped with presses having specific software for the injection compression moulding as well as for the microcellular injection moulding.
